We recommend flying into Washington Reagan National Airport (DCA) since it's only a 15-minute drive from the city center. Ride share cost ranges from $12-$30 depending on the time of day.

Dulles (IAD) and Baltimore (BWI) may sometimes offer more affordable flight options, but the drive time is about 45-55 minutes and the ride share cost is higher ($50-$90).

Uber and Lyft are easy and convenient ways to get around the city. Street parking in busy areas can be scarce and valet parking can be expensive.

The Washington DC Metro (subway or "WMATA") is also an option, but keep in mind that trains run less frequently on the weekends. You can visit the website to access the map.

There are tons of places to stay around the city! For your convenience, we've blocked off rooms at two hotels:

Hilton Washington DC National Mall The Wharf - An 8 min walk and 5 min car ride to the reception venue at La Vie. You can use the direct booking link here. Guests can also call the Hilton Reservation Center line or log in to Hilton Booking and enter group code DHWED. The cutoff date for this block is Sept 14th.

Canopy by Hilton Washington DC The Wharf - A 3 min walk to the reception venue. While the most convenient option, availability is slightly more limited so book fast! Booking link can be found here. The group code is SDHWD. There are preset dates (10/6 - 10/8) but they flexible. Just book as is and email to adjust the dates as needed.

Other convenient hotel options include:

InterContinental Washington D.C. - The Wharf - This hotel is right next door! While we don't have a room block, we do have a "Good Neighbor 10% off Discount". Just use the promo code: 100216752 when booking.

Hyatt House Washington DC / The Wharf - Also within walking distance.

We understand that many of you may be traveling in groups. To help you in your accommodation search we've created an Airbnb Wishlist with multiple options ranging from 2 to 12 guests.

Below are some other areas to consider in DC (just a little further away). We've also included great hotels for each.
